Suburban Developmental League Championship

The Phoenixville Track club made history at the Suburban Developmental League Championship Meet on Saturday, May 24 with the 11-12 girls becoming our first team to win the championship meet. This group had eight girls contribute to our 79 points along with several other great performances to beat our closest competitor by 15! There were also many other outstanding medal and top 8 individual efforts at this meet.

Girls under 8: Keira Hyatt won silver in the 800 meters, setting at new age group record of 3:35.70. She also placed 6th in the 400 meters setting another age group record at 1:32.09. Keira was also part of the bronze medal winning 4×100 relay. Mya Ervin placed 6th in the 100 and meters 200 meters, 7th in the long jump, and anchored the 4X100 relay. Avery Campell was 6th in the long jump and was part of the 4X100 relay. Ivy Shilling was 9th in the 100 meters, 200 meters, the lead off leg for the 4X100 relay.

Boys under 8: Philo Kampf won silver in the long jump.

Girls 9-10: Aryn Epps won silver in the shot put. She was 5th in the 100 meters and anchored the gold medal winning 4X100 relay. Kennedy Watson placed 7th in the long jump, 9th in the 400 meters, and was part of the 4X100 relay. Madison Hansen was 8th in the long jump and 400 meters. Sarah Kuehner was 9th in the 100 meters and part of the 4X100 relay.

Boys 9-10: Cameron Hyatt won silver in the 800 meters shattering his own age group record at 2:49.60! He also placed 6th in the 200 meters, and 7th in the 400 meters. Clayton Grant won silver in the shot put with Julian Allen winning bronze. Note that last week Clayton’s throw of 19’5 set a new age group record breaking a mark that had stood since 2018. Kater Latimore placed 5th in the long jump.

Girl’s 11-12: Winning the age group team title, this group had many outstanding performances. Mya Showmaker won gold in the long jump at 12-4 just missing the age group record by 2 inches. She also won bronze in the 100 meters, placed 6th in the 400 meters and anchored the gold medal 4X100 relay which set an age group team record of 59.67 despite limited time practicing handoffs. Isla Sillup won bronze in both the 200 meters and 400 meters, placed 5th in the long jump, and was part of the winning 4×100 relay. Sarah Harmdierks won bronze in the long jump, placed 4th in the 100 meters, and 5th in the 400 meters. She was also part of the 4×100 relay. Maggie Shaner won bronze in the 800 meters setting a new team record at 2:50.50. Brooke Irons placed 6th in the 100 and 200 meters and was part of the 4×100 relay. Ellie Schaible placed 8th in the 1600 and 800 also placing 6th in the long jump. Claire Kline placed 6th in the 1600. Avery Hansen and Sela Kampf tied for 8th in the long jump.

Boys 11-12: Kandrick Latimore placed 4th in the long jump just missing a bronze medal by 4 inches. Jack Guild was 7th in the 1600 meters and 8th in the 800 meters. Noah Schilling and Patrick Gail also had good efforts in a very tough 100 and 200 meter field. Rober Nestor was the sole 400 meter runner in this age group.

Girls 13-14: Kate Warman won silver in the 100 meters and 200 meters setting a new team and age group record at 27.98! Kate also anchored the silver medal winning 4×100 relay. Elena O’Neill, Emma Seddiki, and Mila Kruk were also part of the 4×100 relay.

Boys 13-14: Jackson Reever won gold in the shot put. He also placed 8th in the 400.

Boys 15-16: Nick Raddatti won silver in the 200 meters setting a new team record in 24.23. He also won silver in the 400 in 55.22 which also broke his own team record.
