Established in 2017, Phoenixville Track Club is an AAU youth member organization for athletes ranging from 8-14. The club is based in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and offers opportunities for youth athletes to compete in Track and Field and Cross Country. The club focuses on developing a passion for physical fitness, self-improvement, and friendly competition.
Athletes compete at a variety of levels. We welcome all athletes, and no prior experience is neccessary.
Phoenixville Track Club strives to be open to anyone. We are a volunteer run organization, and we strive to keep costs low so that everyone can participate. The club does ask for a small fee each season to cover costs associated with meets and AAU registration. Our policy is that no one will be turned away for financial reasons. Scholarships are confidentially available for anyone in need.
Track and Field
The Phoenixville Track Club competes in Track and Field during the Spring. Practices are typically twice a week in the early evenings and begin in Mid-March. Practices are typically are at Phoenixville High School and several other local locations. Athletes are given the opportunity to compete in several local development meets in April and May.
Athletes compete against other athletes their age and can choose to compete in the following events:
- 100 meters
- 200 meters
- 400 meters
- 800 meters
- 1600 meters
- Long Jump
- Shot Put
Cross Country
The Phoenixville Track Club competes in Cross Country in the Fall. Athletes typically practice 1-2 times per week in the early evenings at various locations around Phoenixville. Athletes compete in a 6-7 Week Youth Cross Country series at the Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia. Meets are typically Saturday Morning.
Athletes compete against other athletes their age. Depending on age, athletes will compete in either a 1.5 mile or 3000 meter race.
